The town of Pomorie is located on a narrow rocky peninsula, which is indented 3,5 km into the Black Sea, 20 km from Bourgas and 18 km from Sunny Beach, with a population of about 14,500 citizens.
The town was founded in 4 c. BC by a salty lake, called by the Slavs “sacred” because of its curative properties.
